Profile
- Jiyong Eom is an Associate Professor in the School of Business and Technology Management (BTM) at KAIST, where he also serves as Head of the KAIST Graduate School of Green Growth & Sustainability (GGGS) and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD).
- His research lies at the intersection of energy and environmental economics and management, with a focus on integrated assessment modeling for climate and technology policy analysis, climate financial risk management, and demand-side energy management. His work has appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Energy, Energy Economics, and Global Environmental Change. Prof. Eom was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher in the social sciences by Clarivate in both 2019 and 2020.
- He currently serves as a general member of the Technology Management & Policy Division of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea and is an associate editor for Oxford Open Climate Change and the Journal of Energy Engineering. He holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Yonsei University, an MS degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from KAIST, and a Ph.D. in Management Science & Engineering with a concentration in Policy & Strategy from Stanford University.
