- Professor Gayoung Park is an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of technology policy, innovation strategy, and international development.
- Her research explores Digital for Development (D4D), data governance, and inclusive AI systems, with regional expertise in Africa and Asia. She is particularly interested in developing and applying new research methodologies to study trustworthy AI, human–AI interaction, and AI design in diverse socio-technical contexts. As an expert member of the ITU Metaverse Focus Group, she contributes to developing international guidelines and evaluation frameworks on inclusivity and ethics. Her work integrates policy analysis, system design, and field-based studies to explore how emerging technologies shape governance and social inclusion.
- She earned her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Ewha Womans University, her M.A. in International Studies from Korea University, and her Ph.D. in Engineering (Technology Policy and Innovation) from Stony Brook University.
