- Woonam Hwang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at KAIST.
- His research focuses on operations management, with an emphasis on supply chain management, healthcare operations, and ESG-related issues in these areas. He combines analytical modeling, optimization, game theory, and behavioral economics to study decision-making and strategic interactions in complex operational environments. Before joining KAIST, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in the US and HEC Paris in France.
- He earned his Ph.D. in Management Science and Operations from London Business School, and an M.S. in Management Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science from KAIST.
