Profile
- Researcher Jiyeon Lee is currently enrolled in the integrated Master’s–Ph.D. program at the Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy, KAIST, where she conducts research on international health data governance for sustainable development. Grounded in the recognition that addressing health challenges requires transformations in policies and systems beyond short-term, fragmented interventions, she pursues research aimed at systemic change. In the context of rapid technological advancement and intersecting global crises, she seeks to analyze emerging trajectories of change and to contribute to shaping policy response strategies that help steer these dynamics toward a more sustainable and equitable world.
- She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Seoul National University College of Nursing, and subsequently worked as a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) nurse at Seoul National University Hospital. She later earned a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from the Graduate School of Public Health, Seoul National University. Building on her experience as a Researcher at the National Evidence-based Healthcare Collaborating Agency (NECA), where she conducted reassessment of health technologies to evaluate their safety and effectiveness, she now focuses on research that bridges technology and policy.
